“ According to Yelp this is the most recommended Japanese restaurant in Reno. I'm glad I followed Yelp's advice! This place was easy to find and had plenty of parking. We arrived a little before 6 pm and the place was busy. But we got a table without a wait. The service was fast and friendly. It's a fairly large restaurant, casual and bright. They sell Japanese drinks, ice cream, desserts in refrigerators near the front that you can help yourself to. They have a full bar and a large variety of Japanese beers and liquor. Their menu consists mostly of rice bowls and ramen. No sushi. We ordered the Oyako Donburi, Tempura Udon, and Miso Ramen. Good authentic Japanese food! It sure hit the spot on a cold winter night. This place is now added to our Maps Reno Guide for future visits. ”

“ Everything here is a 9-10! Tonkatsu Ramen with Udon, all of the grill items are perfect, every visit. Staff works hard to keep up and it's appreciated. The Japanese candy and desserts are a culinary trip. ”

“ It's our first time in this place. We drove from the Bay area just to see some snow and became hungry. We were surprised that there was a gem outside the main casino area. This place is bigger in the inside than outside. There's a lot to choose from but their Ramens are the star. They were so good, mushroom is crunchy, and the soup is creamy. The prices are very reasonable and the people who worked their were very attentive to our needs and accommodating. Even the chips are delicious. We are definitely coming back to this place and we will tell our friends that this place is excellent. There's a lot of parking spaces outside. ”

“ Pretty tasty Ramen bowls but if you want veggies in your ramen, they don't really have a ton of them. My veggie soup had minimal veggies (no I don't count corn) I did add extra spinach for an additional fee. The service was okay, we had a big party and you could tell it was a little annoying to our server- which I understand Delicious cocktail options and sake. They are on door dash/grub hub so you can have ramen at home I would like to see more vegetables in their into vegetarian option ”

“ Another tremendous visit. Many thanks to every cook, waiter, waitress and staff person who took care of my family last night, just before close. Fritzie had to have her Ramen. As always, a wonderful atmosphere, super busy this evening. It was wall to wall packed. I had my usual Tori Paitain, I kicked the spice up a notch from my usual and surprisingly it wasn't that bad. The service as always was humble and courteous and the side items were fresh and delicious. Have you been there yet? Why not! ”

“ Getting to try ramen in Reno when you're from NorCal can be a big risk, but we swung and Haru definitely delivered. I tried their Vegan Miso Ramen ($15) which uses a soy milk and mushrooms based broth, topped with veggies and tofu which makes it a complete meal. The broth was well flavored and my bowl was savory but not too salty. Noodles were great and I loved the amount of veggies we got on top. I got mine at level 4 spicy and wish I had gone a bit higher. Overall, a very solid vegan ramen option and am happy they offer one in this small town. Servers were super nice and attentive during our meal and I liked the anime influences with the decor around the restaurant. Lots of open seats for small groups and a bar for solo diners. Parking is plenty right outside in their lot. ”

“ We order to go and the process to order by phone is very efficient and fast. We ordered Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen, Tendon and Onigirazu. The flavors of the dishes were very good and the only thing I didn't like was that the tendon only brought 2 shrimps. I will definitely try again and this time I will go to the restaurant to see how the atmosphere of the place is and also the type of attention or service that is provided inside the establishment. ”

“ I love this place. This establishment is full of hungry Asians and I love that. The menu is worthy of deeper exploration but I started with the things I'm particularly fond of. Service was a 10 ambiance was a 10 and the food was a 10. I watched what other tables were ordering and was inspired to return to try some other yummy dishes. The karrage received high scores. I like an open kitchen so it was fun to that action while enjoying our yummy nibbles. Bravo Haru! ”

“ Best ramen spot in the area. Full stop. The ramen bowls have a good hearty base with a good balance of noods, meats and vegetables. I'm a fan of the Tonkotsu ramen with a mid level of spice. While the dining room is admittedly a little drab that is easy to look past once served. Which by the way is typically prompt and courteous. Aside from that they have some unique treats for purchase in a couple freezers and shelves like drinks and desserts that aren't highly available in the area. ”
